Questions about this tool

Is my PDF uploaded when I convert it?

No. PDF to JPG runs in your browser, on your own device. Your PDF is read and changed there, and never sent to our servers or to anyone else's.

What happens to my data?

Your PDF and the images made from it stay in your browser's memory while you work and are gone when you close or refresh the page. We do not save them, and this site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Our host may keep ordinary server logs of page visits, which never include your files.

Is there a file size limit?

We do not set one. The work is done in your device's memory, so very large files can be slow or fail, especially on a phone. Every page becomes an image in memory, so choose a lower quality if your browser runs out. The page warns you above 50 MB for one file or 200 MB in total, and you can still carry on.

What can't PDF to JPG do?

It makes one JPG image per page, so the text in those images cannot be selected. Very large pages are drawn at a lower scale than you chose, and the tool tells you when that happens. Password-protected PDFs have to be unlocked first.
