Extract pages from a PDF

Loading tool…

Choose pages by number or by clicking thumbnails and save them as one new PDF, or one PDF per range in a ZIP. It runs in your browser, so your file is not uploaded.

Processed in your browser. Your files are not uploaded.

How it works

  1. Add one PDF file and wait for the page thumbnails.
  2. Type the pages you want, such as 1-3, 5, or click their thumbnails.
  3. Choose one PDF, or one PDF for each range in a ZIP.
  4. Select Extract and download the result.

What this does and doesn't do

What it does
Copies the pages you chose into a new PDF, in the order you typed them. With the ZIP option every range you typed becomes its own file.
What it doesn't do
The original file is not changed. Links to pages you did not choose are taken out, and bookmarks and the original document information are not carried over.

Questions about this tool

Is my PDF uploaded when I extract pages?

No. Extract PDF pages runs in your browser, on your own device. Your PDF is read and changed there, and never sent to our servers or to anyone else's.

What happens to my data?

Your PDF and the pages you choose stay in your browser's memory while you work and are gone when you close or refresh the page. We do not save them, and this site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Our host may keep ordinary server logs of page visits, which never include your files.

Is there a file size limit?

We do not set one. The work is done in your device's memory, so very large files can be slow or fail, especially on a phone. Thumbnails of the pages are drawn on your screen, so a PDF with hundreds of pages takes longer to show. The page warns you above 50 MB for one file or 200 MB in total, and you can still carry on.

Does it change my original file?

No. You download a new file, and the original on your device is left exactly as it was.
