Fill in and sign a PDF

Loading tool…

Fill in a PDF form, or add your signature, initials, the date, text or a check mark anywhere on a page. It runs in your browser, so your file is not uploaded.

Processed in your browser. Your files are not uploaded.

How it works

  1. Add one PDF file. Any form fields it has appear on the page, ready to fill in.
  2. Type in the fields, then add a signature, initials, the date, text or a check mark where you need them.
  3. Choose whether to flatten the form, then select Save filled PDF.
  4. Look at the result and download it.

What this does and doesn't do

What it does
Fills in text fields, check boxes, radio buttons and drop-downs, and places a drawn, typed or uploaded signature, initials, the date, text or a check mark on any page. Typed signatures use a handwriting font that is loaded only when you choose to type one.
What it doesn't do
A signature added here is a picture, not a digital signature, and it does not prove who signed. Saving can invalidate a digital signature already in the PDF. Lists, buttons and signature fields in a form cannot be edited, and text must use Latin letters. Nothing you draw, type or upload is stored.

Questions about this tool

Are my PDF and my signature uploaded?

No. Fill and sign PDF runs in your browser, on your own device. Your PDF and your signature are read and changed there, and never sent to our servers or to anyone else's.

What happens to my data?

Your PDF and everything you type, draw, upload or add, including signatures and initials stay in your browser's memory while you work and are gone when you close or refresh the page. We do not save them, and this site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Our host may keep ordinary server logs of page visits, which never include your files.

Is there a file size limit?

We do not set one. The work is done in your device's memory, so very large files can be slow or fail, especially on a phone. The page you are working on is drawn at a large size, so a PDF with very big pages needs more memory. The page warns you above 50 MB for one file or 200 MB in total, and you can still carry on.

Does it change my original file?

No. You download a new file, and the original on your device is left exactly as it was.
