How it works
- Add one PDF file and open the page you want to crop.
- Drag a box over the area to keep, then fine-tune it with the numbers if you like.
- Choose whether the crop applies to each page you set, or to all pages.
- Select Crop PDF and download the result.
What this does and doesn't do
- What it does
- Sets the visible area of each chosen page, so it shows only what is inside your crop box. It works on rotated pages and pages that were already cropped, and nothing else in the file changes.
- What it doesn't do
- It does not delete what is outside the box: that content stays in the file and could be recovered. If it must be gone for good, use Redact PDF instead.
Questions about this tool
Is my PDF uploaded when I crop it?
No. Crop PDF runs in your browser, on your own device. Your PDF is read and changed there, and never sent to our servers or to anyone else's.
What happens to my data?
Your PDF and your crop box stay in your browser's memory while you work and are gone when you close or refresh the page. We do not save them, and this site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Our host may keep ordinary server logs of page visits, which never include your files.
Is there a file size limit?
We do not set one. The work is done in your device's memory, so very large files can be slow or fail, especially on a phone. The page you are cropping is drawn at a large size, so a PDF with very big pages needs more memory. The page warns you above 50 MB for one file or 200 MB in total, and you can still carry on.
Does it change my original file?
No. You download a new file, and the original on your device is left exactly as it was.
